Instead of fighting terrorism these military personal have come home and are helping fight crime heavy areas in a town in New England called Springfield. With the military training they received they invited a counter gang group that goes around getting good relations with the people of the town and are mapping out areas where the most crime happens. A professor at Harvard served over in the Middle East helping in counter terrorism, he has a class that developed a data base for all of the criminal activity in Springfield and these data base also contains the web of crime in the area, they can figure out who is connected or contacting who and then they take out the points that will make the whole system fall apart. These is a great use of soldiers skills they picked up.

A 15 chance turned into a amazing story of a guy who eat the odds and as determined to walk again. His brother went to Ohio state and they grew up wanting to go there. One Christmas eve they began their 2 hour trip back to town when a 90 year old man T-boned them at a stop sign. No one was wearing a seat belt. Their father and his brother's girlfriend were pronounced dead at the scene. The road ahead of their family was a long a difficult one. He welcomed the challenge of trying to walk again. When the insurance company said he could no longer go to rehab, the Michigan Football training staff took on the challenge of getting him to walk again.

Weekend
I did nothing this weekend. Sat on my couch and watched TV ate and slept. My bed was basically made of soft clouds and I did not want to move. Why in the world did I do nothing over this weekend? It was simple laziness. There was no need for me to go out of my way to help anyone or accomplish anything. I didn't even bother to watch the NFL Draft, something I would normally watch every year with my brothers. Most of the time i would normally go outside and play basketball or lacrosse, which ever one i was in the mood for. Saturday was nice and sunny but that still kept me inside. Another cause of this is the fact I might have only gotten a few winks of sleep the night before.

Memory
These people have a condition were they can remember every moment of their lives. They have been quizzed by the a top memory scientist they have gotten every question right they have ever asked. When these people get asked how they are able to do this the only response they can give it that it just comes to them the can see it. The most impressive idea that gain be gained from the research is are there more of these people out there, or does this lay dormant inside every single one of us. The effort going into this project is still low, because people just don't know about it yet.

Kony
Knoy has been committing atrocities for years now and only recently has the U.S been involved. There has been an effort to capture him for several years now. The Ugandan military has joined with the U.S green marines, our role is to help train the young men to survive on their own in the dense dangerous jungle. Many people recently have deserted from Kony's army. They are now working with the men trying to capture Kony, mostly with intel but also with spreading to other people how if they leave the army we can help. A major general was captured alive a year ago and now he is leading to movement to help these misled soldiers to return home.

Google Fiber
Google is getting in the game with the T.V. and internet providers. Currently they only have three plans: the first plan is a $300 instillation fee and you don't have to pay monthly for the rest of the time that you live there. The second plan is probably the best right now, $70 a month for extreme high speed internet, 1000 Mbps that's fast. The third plan includes Google T.V. you get a receiver and a remote and all channels are in full 1080p, but there are still some major channels missing like ESPN and HBO. The downside is these services are only available in Kansas City right now, but Google plans to expand nation wide by this summer.

Brian Banks
Banks was a high school senior playing football, he was a division 1 hopeful. He got a call from a USC coach Pete Carroll. Banks had a verbal agreement to play at USC. Later in the year he went out with a girl named Wantta Gibson. After that night she accused Banks of kidnapping and rape. He was in jail with a bail of one million dollars. His mother sold her house and her car to afford the lawyer that they needed. His defence told him that because of his size, age, and race that it would be hard to get a fair trail. He plead no contest, which meant that he would only serve a max of 5 years instead of a possible 41. After 85% of his term was up he was let out, but he had to wear an ankle bracelet at all times, and he was a registered sex offender. A few weeks later he got a Facebook and soon after that he got a strange friend request. It was from Gibson. She said that she wanted to talk, but Banks wasn't sure if he could trust her. Banks hired a detective to help place hidden cameras and microphones around the room where they would meet. The conversation brought up was implementing that Banks was innocent. She said her self that he did not kidnap and rape her. This was all they needed. Bank's crime was lifted and could walk free again. Then he got a call from a coach asking if he knew a line backer. It was Pete Carroll again but with the Seahawks.

Internet of Things
The Future is amazing. The future looks bright in the US if we had that tech. it would help with the little things. But the Down side is it might make people more lazy and force the work force to be less skilled with the basic skills. It helps if one day if you left the lights on and you can turn them off from your smart phone, pretty easy. Sometimes the future comes to fast and we can't handle it. This could led to a major problem in the near future because a devastating mass technical blackout might come to pass. There is a video link.

Twitter/Square
Twitter is used all over the world by millions of people and they send out a billion tweets every three days. When he started twitter he was making decisions about the company behind closed doors. The board did not like these moves he was making, so they took him off the board. He did not take this very well. Later there was a change in company management and they brought him back. This time he had a new idea Square. What it is a device that allows anyone with an apple product to be a small business, allowing people to pay with their credit cards anywhere with the swipe of a finger. With this he will be able to expand all over the world. Allowing people to pay for anything anywhere.

Lethal Medicine
A compounding company that makes specialized medicine for one patient at a time started mass producing these drugs without the approval of the FDA. This small drug distributor had grown experientially out of proportion. At one time they had about 3000 clients or clinics ordering from them. The clinics would fill out forms for individual use but the names were often sceptical in nature, for example a couple names were like Homer Simpson and Bart Simpson. This raised a red flag for some of the sales personal but not others these were the only people to actually talk to 60 Minutes. Where the drugs were actually made was called Clean Room 1, but it wasn't clean. Up until they started filling mass orders they were very good at keeping the place clean. Then when the average work load increased by almost 1000% they could not handle it and often they would find mold around the clean room. This lead to mold being found in the drugs, but it was already too late. It had been shipped all around the country. Within the next few months of mass production people began dying. This could cause mass hysteria because if this got into the hands of really bad people that mean business then we could face a pandemic.

Vernon Davis
Vernon Davis the TE for the 49er's grew up in a suburb of DC. He was the oldest of seven, they were raised by their maternal grandmother. His grandmother did not want him to play football because she was afraid he was going to get hurt, but it became his emotional outlet. He was a monster at the university of Maryland for three ears then he was invited to the 2006 NFL draft where he was selected by the 49er's. his first year he siad that he didn't live up to his expectations. One blow out game against Seattle in 08 Vernon slap the safeties face mask and received a personal foul. His coach called him over and asked him to go to the locker room. He was thinking you are sending your best player to locker room in middle of a game, he has got to be crazy. Little did he know that this would be the turning point in his career in the NFL.

Under 100 and Homeless
Almost all of these objects were around $100.00 not under $100.00. These little pieces of tech were pretty cool two or three years ago. Now they are just out dated. It would have been better to watch a newer one. Over the past couple years the child poverty rate has gone up, more then 2 million more kids in the past two years. One over the highest rate is located around Disney World. More and more people have been helping each other in these times. Many people were and still are helping each other through their tough times. They are helping to improve the lives of these kid with donations and school run programs.

Hacking
A while ago some very talented hackers in Europe put out a computer virus that spread to about four million people world wide about 500,000 in the US alone. They could lead you to sites that you think you know a "look-a-like" iTunes and get information, it was one big scam. They other problem was that they were saying that they would shut down the whole internet on a specific date. Then the FBI got involved and started investigating and put up counter measures against this cyber threat. You could go online and have then check your computer for you. This lasted about a year, so the FBI held them off for a year but then everybody needed to update their computers defence software and many people didn't so then they were at risk again. It all ended well the FBI found the group responsible and made the arrests.

Attack in Algeria
In gas field, owned by BP in Algeria was attacked by terrorist. Of the eight Americans that were present at the plant only five survived. Of the three that 60 Minutes interviewed one of them was bus driver that transported personal back-and-forth from the plant. He thought that bus blown a tier. Then he started to see the bullets flying by the bus and as he said everyone on the bus as quickly as possible tried to get on the floor of the bus and as flat as possible. He said it was like they trained for this attack but hey hadn't. The manager at the plant gathered up all of his staff and they hid him in a room and locked the door. They could hear the terrorist kicking down doors, but by the grace of god he was in one of the two doors that were not kicked down he was in one. He described it as the most nerve racking experience in his life. He thought he was going to die.

Patent Wars/Google Glasses
If the goal of this video was to decide if tablets are going to replace PCs, then it didn't work. As the guy said in the video "The PC is not dead and will not die." Sales of the tablet will start to grow faster but they still can't do the things a regular PC can do. These Google Glasses look AMAZZAZING. When they come out everybody will want to jump in and buy one. I want one. A topic came up that these glasses might hinder the future population at doing more physical activity. This could be a problem because people are already having trouble with physical exercise.

BlackJet: Fly private for less
At Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, BlackJet CEO Dean Rotchin spoke with CNNMoney aboard a private jet known as the Challenger 300. It seats eight passengers and would normally cost upwards of $20,000 for a coast-to-coast flight. Using BlackJet, a customer can book a seat on the plane for $3,500. It's not cheap, but it's far less than the going price for the whole plane. BlackJet's goal is to sell enough seats to profit from the flight. Even if the plane doesn't fill up, any ticket you purchase is guaranteed.Right now, BlackJet's service is limited to flights from New York, Florida, San Francisco and Los Angeles. BlackJet charges members a $2,500 annual fee, but it's waiving that fee right now for many of its early adopters. I think that this is a good idea because it will be able to cut fuel and travel costs.

Design Thinking
He thinks that if you get a bunch of people together with different backgrounds then have them brain storm and build on each others ideas then creativity was endless. This guy is credited with the creation of many household items that we sometimes over look. David Kelly works at special facility at Stanford University. This is a great idea because it brings people together from different backgrounds to find solutions to problems by being creative. The most difficult part about creative problem solving is your background, that's why Kelly brings different people to work with.

I-Robots Taking Over The World
Technology is taking over jobs around the world not just in America. Its cheaper and more efficient to have a robot doing the work then the workforce. They have a robot that cost $22,000 and it last three years. When you look at the numbers it comes out to be around $3.49 an hour, which is around the same in China. Now people are starting to see the benefits of the robots in place where heavy lifting and distribution of goods is required. In hospitals they have robots that work with the nurses and doctors and other jobs like bringing patients food, getting medications or some other drug, or actually helping the doctor with complex surgeries. As it stands right now robots play a large role in our lives but that could change.

FLU
There are germs everywhere you go and on everything you touch and come in contact with regularly. The most important thing that you can do is wash your hand regularly, get into the spaces where you wouldn't wash normally like in-between your fingers. If you can't wash your hands then hand sanitizer works just as well. A company is making a product called glo-germ that under a black light will show you the germs on that object. This year the flu has been on the rise and about eighteen people have died and more that 2200 people have been hospitalized. You have to try and stay away from people that are coughing or sneezing. If you think you have the flu don't go around town like you would normally try and help stop the spread of the virus, and don't use antibiotics they only work against bacteria not viruses.

The Water phone and Phone Football
A new technology is being developed where you are able to drop your phone into the water and pull it out and it will work like new. There is a film of water proof material that covers your phone from top to bottom and in all of the tight spaces. With this new idea it opens an even bigger door to the possibilities for protecting our phones or enhancing our lives with them. An idea that I had was to have a football with a space to fight your phone. You are then able to throw your phone around without a care in the world. This is the best idea in human history.

Bath Salt and NYC Criminal System Clogged
The U.S Navy has had reports over the past few years about sailors getting high on a substance, bath salts. These bath salts are totally different from the normal baths salts used these have chemicals that are as dangerous as cocaine. Some of the cases are extremely brutal people killing each other, cases of "super human" strength. All of these chemicals were manufactured over seas until recently then the U.S band the production of these chemicals. In wake of Super Storm Sandy many areas effected by the storm have become hazardous. This also happened in New Orleans when hurricane Katrina flooded the city. The storage locker, which is massive were all of the evidence for criminal investigations are kept, is hazardous due to the overflow of sewage from the storm.
