Patent Wars/Google Glasses

If the goal of this video was to decide if tablets are going to replace PCs, then it didn't work. As the guy said in the video "The PC is not dead and will not die." Sales of the tablet will start to grow faster but they still can't do the things a regular PC can do. These Google Glasses look AMAZZAZING. When they come out everybody will want to jump in and buy one. I want one. A topic came up that these glasses might hinder the future population at doing more physical activity. This could be a problem because people are already having trouble with physical exercise.

BlackJet: Fly private for less

At Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, BlackJet CEO Dean Rotchin spoke with CNNMoney aboard a private jet known as the Challenger 300. It seats eight passengers and would normally cost upwards of $20,000 for a coast-to-coast flight. Using BlackJet, a customer can book a seat on the plane for $3,500. It's not cheap, but it's far less than the going price for the whole plane. BlackJet's goal is to sell enough seats to profit from the flight. Even if the plane doesn't fill up, any ticket you purchase is guaranteed.Right now, BlackJet's service is limited to flights from New York, Florida, San Francisco and Los Angeles.  BlackJet charges members a $2,500 annual fee, but it's waiving that fee right now for many of its early adopters. I think that this is a good idea because it will be able to cut fuel and travel costs.

Design Thinking

He thinks that if you get a bunch of people together with different backgrounds then have them brain storm and build on each others ideas then creativity was endless. This guy is credited with the creation of many household items that we sometimes over look. David Kelly works at special facility at Stanford University. This is a great idea because it brings people together from different backgrounds to find solutions to problems by being creative. The most difficult part about creative problem solving is your background, that's why Kelly brings different people to work with.

I-Robots Taking Over The World

Technology is taking over jobs around the world not just in America. Its cheaper and more efficient to have  a robot doing the work then the workforce. They have a robot that cost $22,000 and it last three years. When you look at the numbers it comes out to be around $3.49 an hour, which is around the same in China. Now people are starting to see the benefits of the robots in place where heavy lifting and distribution of goods is required. In hospitals they have robots that work with the nurses and doctors and other jobs like bringing patients food, getting medications or some other drug, or actually helping the doctor with complex surgeries. As it stands right now robots play a large role in our lives but that could change.

FLU

There are germs everywhere you go and on everything you touch and come in contact with regularly. The most important thing that you can do is wash your hand regularly, get into the spaces where you wouldn't wash normally like in-between your fingers. If you can't wash your hands then hand sanitizer works just as well. A company is making a product called glo-germ that under a black light will show you the germs on that object. This year the flu has been on the rise and about eighteen people have died and more that 2200 people have been hospitalized. You have to try and stay away from people that are coughing or sneezing. If you think you have the flu don't go around town like you would normally try and help stop the spread of the virus, and don't use antibiotics they only work against bacteria not viruses.

The Water phone and Phone Football

A new technology is being developed where you are able to drop your phone into the water and pull it out and it will work like new. There is a film of water proof material that covers your phone from top to bottom and in all of the tight spaces. With this new idea it opens an even bigger door to the possibilities for protecting our phones or enhancing our lives with them. An idea that I had was to have a football with a space to fight your phone. You are then able to throw your phone around without a care in the world. This is the best idea in human history.

Bath Salt and NYC Criminal System Clogged

The U.S Navy has had reports over the past few years about sailors getting high on a substance, bath salts. These bath salts are totally different from the normal baths salts used these have chemicals that are as dangerous as cocaine. Some of the cases are extremely brutal people killing each other, cases of "super human" strength. All of these chemicals were manufactured over seas until recently then the U.S band the production of these chemicals. In wake of Super Storm Sandy many areas effected by the storm have become hazardous. This also happened in New Orleans when hurricane Katrina flooded the city. The storage locker, which is massive were all of the evidence for criminal investigations are kept, is hazardous due to the overflow of sewage from the storm.
